A very pretty flower brooch set with natural (minor oil emeralds), a single cut diamond and six natural and unheated Burmese pink sapphires. The flower head has some movement in it for a naturalistic look. The petals have a textured finish which adds lovely detail, as does the white gold setting of the pink sapphires.

Brooches became very popular during the 1940s due to the paired down and more utilitarian clothing worn during wartime. A simple brooch could accent the lapel of an elegantly fitted women's jacket.
